New Client Inquiry Instructions

 

Thank you for your interest in McInteer & O'Rear PLC.

While many prospective clients prefer to initiate contact by telephone, we ask that all requests for new legal representation and new clients be submitted by email to admin@mcolawfirm.com.

 

Regardless of how a new matter is initiated, we must first conduct a conflict-of-interest check before discussing the matter. Submitting your initial inquiry by email allows us to efficiently gather the information necessary to complete that process.

Your initial inquiry should include only the following information:

• Your name (or business name);

• The names of all known adverse parties;

• The names of any other interested or related parties;

• The location of the dispute;

• Whether the matter is already in litigation (and, if so, the court, case number, and jurisdiction); and

• Your telephone number.

Do not include a detailed description of your legal matter or send documents with your initial inquiry. Before we can evaluate any potential representation, we must first conduct a conflict-of-interest check. Once our conflict check is complete, we will let you know whether we are able to request additional information regarding your matter.

An attorney-client relationship is established only after the firm has completed its conflict review, agreed to undertake the representation, and both the client and the firm have executed a written engagement agreement. Please also note that, in most matters, an initial consultation or case assessment is provided for a fee. If a consultation is appropriate, we will discuss the applicable fee and scheduling options after the conflict review has been completed.
